The word “chocolate” has it’s origin in the language of the Nathuals, the original inhabitants of the middle Mexico. It is made of the seeds of the tropical coco tree Theobroma cacao. The result is known as “chocolate”. This product is well known in many countries as the coco. The chocolate is the combination of the dry basis and the fat. It is usually sweetened by sugar and other substances, and it is proceeded to the chocolate bar, ot to the drink (called coco or the hot chocolate). There are three types of seeds, which are mostly used for the chocolate production. The most values ones are the Criollo seeds, which originated in the former Mayan homeland (Mexico and the Middle America). |
